IF you think there's nothing better than lying back watching a good film, then ODEON Silverlink should be the place to head for this weekend.

The cinema complex on the North Tyneside retail park boasts the country's second IMAX screen with fully reclining seats.

ODEON Silverlink's recently opened IMAX screen is a world away from the old flea pit cinemas of the 1970s when it was common to watch films through a haze of smoke and with your feet stuck to the floor.

As well as the huge IMAX screen (as tall, they say, as four double decker buses) offering crystal clear vision, it has 169 fully reclining seats with increased leg room and tray tables.

Showing there on Sunday - for one day only - are three films described by ODEON people as modern classics.

They are: | Inception (12), Christopher Nolan's 2010 film starring Leonardo DiCaprio as a thief who uses dream sharing technology to steal corporate secrets. Showing at 1.30pm.
