SWERVE A have caught Ormesby A at the top of Division 1 of the Middlesbrough and District Table Tennis League after their 10-0 victory against Ormesby C. Josh Harland, Will Dobinson and Kieran Wardell all scored hat-tricks for Serve.

Ormesby lost ground when visiting Nunthorpe A and were only able to secure a 6-4 victory despite hat tricks from David Gofton and Josh Weatherby.

The Nunthorpe trio of Nicky Corking, Steve Burge and Dave Williams all defeated George Hill to provide Nunthorpe with three of their four victories.

These results put Ormesby and Swerve level with 63 points from eight matches while Swerve C are third after their 8-2 victory over Ormesby B in which Jevon Chan and Andy Wilson both scored hat tricks and Luke Bradburn won two only losing to Carl White.
