Activists Halt Cattle Truck; Animal Group 'Spends Moments' with Cows

DRAMATIC footage and pictures have emerged of an animal rights activist group's "vigil" at a Dinmore meat processing plant.

Members of the Brisbane Animal Save group, which is part of Animal Liberation Queensland, held placards that read "stop killing animals" metres from the front grille of a B-double truck delivering cattle on January 30.

In the footage, the truck braked and stopped to avoid the activists while other members of the group rushed to the side of the truck and took photos and videos of the animals.

A JBS spokesperson said the activity was a distraction for the industry and similar "vegan protests" had been happening around the country.

Organiser Amanda Holly said Brisbane Animal Save was one of hundreds of similar groups across the world which formed the International Save Moment.

The group has operated for a year and has held three similar demonstrations at JBS Dinmore since August. …
