Students Gather for Movie Night; Families Enjoy Screening of Secret Life of Pets at Special Outdoor Cinema

HAVE you ever wondered where the money from your democracy sausage you bought on Election Day goes?

Parents at Rangeville State School discovered the answer last week when the school's P&C hosted a free movie night for the students.

P&C secretary Julie Shinners said it was the second year the P&C had run the movie night.

"It was a welcome to the start of the year for all of the families," she said.

"The P&C used some funds we raised from the election day cake stall to hire the screen from Toowoomba Regional Council and the movie from Village Roadshow.

"Families brought along a picnic and came along to watch the movie, it's a great community building exercise. All of our students and families come along."

She said families all watched the film Secret Life of Pets.

"It's always a fantastic night, a really brilliant atmosphere," she said.

"As we have to wait until dark, the kids all play before the movie starts.

"It just helps create a nice family community atmosphere for the school. …
