A TOP Google executive called police after a bitter row with a neighbour over a garden wall and 4cm of land.

Koert Holtgreve, 44, head of territory sales for Google in the UK and Ireland, made a harassment complaint against neighbour Janet Highland over an extension to his million-pound home in Peckham.

Mrs Highland claims a new six-metre wall has been built across the property boundary, running 4cm on to her land, and has devalued her home as a result. Mr Holtgreve denies this and said he was forced to report her to police.

She was issued with a police harassment notice last June for making "snide comments", speaking about Mr Holtgreve and his partner "in a derogatory way", and "shouting up at the windows in a provocative manner".

She "followed a labourer from the address making money signs at him", the notice stated.

Mr Holtgreve also called Southwark council's noise and anti-social team eight times alleging Mrs Highland was playing loud music.

But she in turn has reported the dispute to Scotland Yard, and has formally complained about receiving the harassment notice, claiming she has done nothing wrong.

Mr Holtgreve, who has a six-monthold son, moved into the three-bedroom property early last year with his opera singer partner Emily Wenman.

He said: "The police have advised us not to have any contact with [Mrs Highland] and that we should call them if they approach, speak or attempt to access our property.

"Janet has also been given numerous opportunities through mediation to sit down and try to amicably resolve any differences there might be. She has unfortunately declined all offers."

Mrs Highland said the police notice was "unfair", adding: "He has not been harassed whatsoever, at all." A complaint lodged by her is being investigated by the Met. …
