Oak Tree Retirement Villages is set to host an interactive and informative seniors information workshop at their Park Ave village on February 28 from 10am to midday, with speakers and other industry service providers available afterwards to meet with seniors, their friends and families.

Speakers, four of whom are travelling from Brisbane especially, will discuss topics that are very relevant today including making a difference, loneliness, dying with dignity, advocacy, getting assessed and the retirement living options available to you that will help you age gracefully, enjoy life more and experience less stress.

Other exhibitors and guests will also be available to provide advice on travel, communication, government services and much more. There will even be free goody bags for every attendee.

Managing director Mark Bindon said Oak Tree was proud to partner with such a great line-up of businesses and service providers to host the event at the Park Ave village.

"This is a way of demonstrating our commitment to the health and lifestyle needs of local seniors," Mr Bindon said.

"Our aim is for this to become an annual event in Rockhampton which will grow and expand over time, providing local businesses with an ongoing opportunity to showcase their suite of products and services each year."

Oak Tree Village manager Desley Cowley has been busily preparing for the event over the past few months to ensure the round-up of speakers is relevant, interesting, informative and most importantly entertaining.
