Bulldogs Back in Action after Five-Year Hiatus

BEERWAH backrower Daniel Kidd can appreciate their return to division one more than most.

He is one of a few players who also laced up for the Bulldogs in 2012, when they last appeared in the region's top flight.

Since then, he's spent five years with the club rebuilding in lower grades, so is savouring the moment as they prepare for a comeback in 2018.

"It's been unreal what the club been able to do (for) this year, so hopefully we can kick on from it," he said.

Kidd, 25, is a Bulldog through and through. He's been there for 10 years as a junior and eight years as a senior

When the team folded from the top flight, he refused to buckle.

"A few mates went to other clubs like Caloundra but I had two little brothers coming through the grades and there were a few senior blokes who really wanted to try and bring the club back as well so I stayed..and now I'm really happy I stayed," he said.

Many at the club are keen to ensure there is a pathway for juniors there. …
