It's Duval vs. All Y'all as Jaguars Fans Rally Ahead of Sunday's Championship Game against Patriots

Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry opened up City Hall on Friday to any Jaguars fans who wanted to start the playoff weekend early.

City Council chambers were filled with music, dancing and plenty of people shouting "Duval" as they posed for pictures and videos.

Curry posed with fans wearing teal body paint and helped direct traffic as people lined up to take pictures with team mascot Jaxson de Ville.

"It's us against the world," Curry told the crowd after explaining Friday's theme was "Duval vs. All Y'all."

Duval County has received plenty of publicity during the playoff run as fans have enjoyed shouting the name of the county at stadiums, bars or anywhere else for that matter.

It was pretty popular Friday where people yelled "Duuuvalll" over and over.

Hunter Chase is a 9yearold fan who said this is the first time his favorite team has been any good. He plans to watch Sunday's game against the Patriots in Nocatee with about 20 families.

He said they run down the sidewalk with a Jaguars flag each time the team scores and of course yell "Duuuvalll" as they do it.

His mother signed him out of school Friday at 2 p.m. for a "doctor's appointment" because she knew how much Hunter wanted to be a part of the party.

She also helped dye his blond hair teal ahead of Friday's rally.

"There was a limited supply of teal [dye] at the store," Crystal Chase said. "They had plenty of blue and red for Patriots fans, but not much teal."

Shari Walls was one of many fans who brought supportive signs to Friday's rally.

She said she started making signs for each home game when when Tom Coughlin was head coach and the team's talent started to slip. …
