NEWCASTLE United goalkeeper Martin Dubravka has indicated his future at St James' Park depends on whether the Magpies survive in the Premier League this season.

United signed the Slovakian shotstopper (right) from Sparta Prague on loan in January and the 29-year-old has impressed since being thrown in at the deep end.

After keeping a clean sheet on his debut in a 1-0 win against Manchester United, Dubravka has hardly looked back and helped the team take a big stride towards safety.

Speaking to Sport Pravda, Dubravka responded to questions about his move to Tyneside becoming a permanent one. He said: "Everything depends mainly on where the team finishes in the top flight or whether we stay in it.

"In my opinion, it will also affect my future in the club.

"I will continue to focus on getting as many points as possible and thus avoiding relegation.

"I think Newcastle will be in the Premier League and then a permanent transfer will be possible. …
