FRONT-ROW powerhouse Dylan Wilson was a driving force behind the National Farmer's Warehouse Wattles Warriors A Grade side's 26 - 20 defeat of the Gatton Hawks at Platz Oval on Saturday evening. As an additional reward the big mobile forward was named the Hutchies Player of the Toowoomba Rugby League Round 2.

In his second season with Wattles, the 120 kg giant was a more than damaging package for the opposition defence on Wattles home turf, reeling in the metres when ever he had the ball in his hands.

Wattles coach Travis Burns rates Wilson his big improver, showering praise on the 188 cm tall 26 year old in the shadow of the victory over the Hawks, a game the nearly slipped from the Warriors grasp.

It took 25 minutes before points appeared on the scoreboard, a try by skilful Gatton halfback Luke Nolan.

Wattles answered the call with their halfback Matt Duggan sending fullback Jackson Green racing through a gaping hole in the Gatton line to score, followed soon after by another touchdown on the cusp of half time by centre Jake Hargreaves. …
