Players are only human "Sometimes the nervousness and expectation of a big game can get to you, that's true. It's only natural. Players are human.

Andy Campbell "But usually for a big game, or against a big team, you set up the same way tactically. It is the same shape, the same team. The pitch is the same and it is still 11 v 11. You just go out and do what you are trained and drilled to do.

"You may be a bit more cautious against a top team or star players who can hurt you but you still play your own game.

"And the opposition will be the same in these games. They'll be just as nervous. The risks are the same for them. They won't think winning the first game gives them a goal start or anything.

"Boro are a big team with big players.

They are a scalp for teams at this level.

And the opposition will be nervous about Adama Traore and what he can do to them. So it is a two-way street."

Sometimes you need a lucky break "This current run of poor form against the top six, top eight in the division is a bit strange and it has become a worry and a threat to the season and 100% that will put a few doubts into some players' minds about the coming games.

"But for a player, past results have no bearing on the next game. Fans feel that kind of thing more.

"As a player you start every game afresh and knowing what you have to do when you run out onto the pitch. If you have a bad run of form you have to grit your teeth, dig in, work hard and get ready to run through walls for the team.

"If you do that as a team and stick to your shape then these runs always turn. You will get a result.

"It may come down to a moment of individual magic or sometimes it may come down to a bit of luck but it will turn.

"Sometimes in football you need a lucky break, a decision to go your way or a mistake or a little bounce or a last minute penalty. Those are the moments that can turn seasons and define careers.

"Maybe we need a bit of that now - but we also have to work hard and keep fighting to make things happen and just try to win games by hook-or-bycrook. …
