TAMARIND Book Club is holding a sale of pre-loved books in aid of James' Place next Thursday, May 10.

In 2016, Sunshine Coast residents Paul and Deborah Love lost their son James to brain cancer.

Their daughter Millie lost her best friend and only brother, who was only seven when he died.

In the race to beat the disease, the family travelled to Wurzburg in Germany to seek the latest treatment.

While James had treatment at the hospital, the family was provided with a comfortable unit where they could spend time together.

James joined them to have a break from hospital tests and treatments.

That extra time away from the hospital gave Paul, Deborah and Millie invaluable treasured memories.

Now the Love family is building its own family unit for other families who are supporting their children through cancer treatment on the Coast.

Paul has enlisted his tradie mates and it's been all hands on deck for the past few months.

The frame is up and the walls and roof are next. …
