MONDAY For once, it's not running a business or my social life that leaves me sleep deprived. Today it's my two daughters, aged four and seven, who ensure an early start but at least I'm ahead of the traffic, making calls and in Marylebone before 7.30am. My fellow Beauchamp Estates Marylebone director, Richard Douglas, and I still use our cars daily, but we've gone electric.

The early start means we can share breakfast at either Chiltern Firehouse or Fischer's. As a massive foodie, I'm always tempted to eat out.

Then I'm off to value a great apartment on Bryanston Square, followed by another in Regent's Park. Back in the car there's time for some hands-free calls, one of which involves the sale of Cresswell House in Chelsea. I sold the PS20.95 million property for more than the asking price, with a super-fast exchange now needing a super-fast completion.

I finish in time for an early evening with my wife, Rachel. She has been working in Spain and I've promised to be home by 6:30. I look forward to her updates on the charities and events we support together.

TUESDAY The Colony Grill beckons for an early breakfast before our sales meeting. When we arrive at the Curzon Street office, it's buzzing with exciting instructions some mouthwatering international business as summer looms. Sadly, relocating next week's meeting to Mykonos is vetoed for being too much of a distraction.

I can't hide my pleasure at the progress of our latest sale, of a penthouse in Fitzrovia that completed without incident. Fitzrovia is an area we hope to become more involved with, as we often have buyers who want to be part of this increasingly popular location. A fullon day so it's too late to join football training.

WEDNESDAY Everyone seems to have a funny story about a lift and today, it's my turn. …
