SOLILOQUY can justify the decision to stump up a supplementary fee by winning the Qipco 1000 Guineas at Newmarket tomorrow.

The Dubawi filly came into 2018 under the radar having raced just twice as a juvenile, winning an Ascot maiden on her second start last September.

However, she announced her arrival on the main stage in style, making every yard of the running to see off the reopposing Altyn Orda by a length and three-quarters.

Soliloquy has a chunk to find with the likes of stablemate Wild Illusion and Aidan O'Brien's Happily, but she can rise to the challenge for the Godolphin team.

Appleby should also be on the mark with Wuheida in the Charm Spirit Dahlia Stakes. Another supplementary entry for the team, Wuheida must concede weight all round in this ninefurlong contest but she shoulders that penalty for her fantastic Breeders' Cup win back in November. …
