A GUTSY Lennox Head held off a fast-finishing Bangalow in a 19-18 win over the Rebels in Far North Coast rugby union at Williams Reserve, Lennox Head, on Saturday.

It was there for Bangalow to win with a penalty goal in kicking range taken by five-eighth Tom Slater on the final play of the game.

Slater booted it high and threw his kicking tee up high in celebration before the ball dropped in front of the goal posts, with Lennox Head kicking it out over the sideline for the win. …
