Deadline Extended for Reduced Season Tickets

SUNDERLAND owner Stewart Donald has challenged fans to break the 20,000 season ticket-holder barrier, extending the deadline for reduced price purchases until June 22.

Despite a miserable campaign which saw Sunderland slip into League One, the Black Cats have already sold more than 16,000 season cards - a figure that has been boosted by fans' enthusiasm following Donald's takeover which was confirmed at the beginning of the week. And with new manager Jack Ross now in place to begin overhauling the squad in the weeks ahead, Donald is looking to bring even more fans back on board by offering the reduced prices for a longer period.

Originally, the early bird prices which were announced in March - which saw reductions of up to 40% on some tickets, with most tickets reduced by around 15% - were offered to fans who bought before April 24, and came with a guarantee that those prices would be capped at that level for three seasons for supporters who renewed in the years ahead. …
