England Bout Holds Key to World Door DESTINY DATE DRAWS NEAR; George Setto Lay Futureon the Line

BOXING: When Kris George sent rising star Ozan Craddock crashing to the canvas at Rumours International back in March, 2014 Toowoomba boxing fans knew they'd witnessed something special.

Their gut feeling proved to be right. George too was a star on the rise, destined for greater heights in the ring.

How lofty those heights might be will be partly answered in Newcastle, England on June 16.

That night will be a life-changer for George when he faces yet another star in the making -- England's Josh Kelly.

At stake will be George's Commonwealth welterweight championship and Kelly's WBA International welterweight title belt.

But more importantly, the winner will sky-rocket in world championship standings while the loser will find themselves back amongst the scrapping pack.

George has been on the world title trail since his memorable Craddock knock-out victory and has been in make-or-break fight mode ever since.

His showdown with the undefeated Kelly in two week's time should be no different.

But it is.

This one could be for keeps.

"It's a really big fight," the Trading Blows Boxing Gym fighter said this week.

"It hasn't got the publicity here in Australia but I'm fighting a guy called Josh Kelly.

"He's a pretty big prospect. He's an Olympian and they're naming him the hottest prospect in the world at the moment.

"He's working under Eddie Hearn under the Matchroom stable which is one of the biggest in the country.

"He's got a big following. He's a hot prospect and it's a massive fight.

"We're headlining a huge card over in Newcastle, England and to be a headline on their card this size on Sky Sports broadcast all over the world is a massive deal.

"This is my chance to make something.

"Each fight is make or break until you get to the next level. …
