RUGBY LEAGUE: Getting towards the pointy end of Mackay and District Rugby League's Senior Women's competition season, we look at five players who've made their mark in 2018.

With Brothers and Moranbah going head to head at the top of the ladder with five wins each from their six games, it comes as no surprise to see stars from both sides dominating the league's overall stats.

Levinia Robinson

Club: Moranbah

Games: Six

There's not much Robinson hasn't achieved in a big season for equal joint league leaders, Moranbah. A big reason behind her side's dominance, Robinson has been a prolific scorer with ball and hand and from the boot.

Sitting second in the league with her 10 tries, Robinson has also booted 33 goals to the next best's eight, and is a runaway leader for overall points scored.

Scoring tries in all but two of her matches in 2018, Robinson went on a tear in April to net four tries and 10 goals in a 76-nil thrashing of Sarina.

Selected to represent the North Queensland Marlins in the Foley Shield, Robinson went one better to make the Queensland Country Team where she'll have the chance to be selected for Australia.

Katie Green

Points: 44

A star on the rise, Green has made her mark on the competition in 2018.

Leading the league in tries, highlighted by four in a match against Sarina, the sky is the limit for the winger/fullback who sits second overall for points scored.

Putting her name up in lights for Mackay's representative side at the Foley Shield in Townsville earlier this month, Green was the competition's highest points scorer, before going on to represent the North Queensland Marlins at the Queensland Country Trials. …
