Thunder Strike It Rich with Positive Attitude

FOOTBALL: Chris Hatfield is backing his side to record a third straight win tonight.

The South West Queensland Thunder striker says a new attitude and energy has the squad primed for an attack on the top half of the NPL table.

"I think the attitude and the energy has turned around 360 degrees in the past few weeks," Hatfield said.

"It's been positive but it's almost completely different now.

"You can see it at training -- everyone is showing up a little earlier, working a little harder -- and you can see it when we play.

"It was little disheartening when we were playing so well and not getting the results.

"But now we're playing well and we've strung some wins together."

Hatfield said the team's new found chemistry was also key to their recent results.

"Changing the way we set up and defend has made a big difference," Hatfield said.

"Keagan (Sheridan), Frederico (Brusaca) and Jacob (Bigby) have been great at the back for us. …
