This is a lower-body workout designed for those who want to strengthen their legs, glutes and abs. You'll need a step and resistance bands.

1. Donkey rainbow Begin on all fours on top of your step, with hands placed at shoulder width and a resistance band around your knees. Extend your right leg behind you and raise it up and over your left leg, then immediately take your leg back to the right side. While working, aim to lift your heel high towards the ceiling and then tap your toes on to the floor in each direction; draw an imaginary rainbow with the motion of your leg. Do 12 reps, then change legs and repeat on your left leg.

2. Elevated frog pump Lie with your back on the floor and place soles of your feet together on top of your step. Put the band around your bent knees and allow knees to widen apart. Begin to drive your glutes up and away from the ground. With your hips high, squeeze your glutes at the top and ensure that you keep your heels glued together throughout. …
