CAINE Brown has an interesting family history.

Not only does he proudly say he is a fifth generation showman, but his grandfather, who was a fairy floss pioneer, claims the title for the first person to put the treat in sealed cellophane bags.

Mr Brown said once he was old enough to go to school he moved in with his grandparents to attend "normal school" while his parents continued to travel to shows.

"Before I went to primary school I was travelling on the show grounds until I was five," he said

"I finished high school in 1999 and I was on the showgrounds again the following year."

During this first year, Mr Brown alongside his grandfather manned a 'catch a duck' trailer which the two built. Since that initial trailer the business has undergone "gradual profession" and upgrades until he was able to purchase a major event ride which set him back over $1 million.

"I love being a showman, I love doing what I do and we go to these towns and we put on the best show every year. …
