DOMINIC Alderson will never ride his bike to school again.

The Chancellor State College student was riding home alongside his brother Cary, 12, on June 14 when an older student attacked him.

Dominic, 8, was pushed off his bike, picked up and smashed into the cement head first.

Dominic's attacker continued the relentless beating while Cary frantically tried to call his mother.

When the older student took off, Dominic and Cary walked their bikes around the corner to their home, crying the whole way.

Mum Kylie Alderson said her son had suffered several severe heath issues since, including seizures, and had been unable to return to school.

"When I got home, Dom was in bed crying and couldn't make sense of what happened," Ms Alderson said.

"I asked Cary and he told me but I didn't think it was very serious because Dom was quiet.

"Then he started vomiting."

Ms Alderson took her son to hospital where it was revealed he was concussed but other than waves of nausea and random headaches, Dominic appeared to be in the clear.

"Then, on Sunday afternoon, after seeming okay, he just went white. He went and lay in bed and I went in there to sit next to him and he started having a seizure.

"I didn't know what to do. I was trying to calm him down because I didn't know what was happening."

After another hospital trip and several visits to the GP, Ms Alderson said doctors were unsure how serious Dominic's injuries were and what affect they would have.

"They started talking about seizure clinics, occupational therapy and speech therapy; it was overwhelming.

"I have been told he might not even be able to go back to school for full days at a time."

Ms Alderson has four children at the school and said she was scared for them. …
