MONDAY Here in Liguria, Italy, my day begins with meeting a Swedish couple who are spending a week on the Riviera to find their dream holiday home. After chatting through their requirements, I book in a full day of viewings for tomorrow.

After saying goodbye to the couple, I head to the office and join a conference call with Amy in our European Residential Sales team based in Knight Frank's London headquarters. Amy has some clients arriving in Italy next week, so I give an update on a couple of great new listings that could be of interest.

I spend the rest of the day responding to emails and speaking with clients. Summer is a busy period, with both Italians and those overseas looking to buy or thinking about putting their property on the market.

TUESDAY Three penthouse apartments are first on the list, in Sanremo, for my day of viewings with the Swedish couple. Then it's on to Ospedaletti, where my colleague Alessio shows us around another penthouse apartment in an ancient villa with a regal past. It was once home to Prince Alexander Lubomirski of Poland.

All those viewings it must be time for lunch. We stop at our local beach club for pasta and a glass of white wine before going to Bordighera. My colleague Simone shows us two properties, both with incredible panoramic views over the Med and French Capes. My clients have plenty to think about, so I drop them back at their hotel to go through all the options and head back to the office.

WEDNESDAY I value an elegant semi-detached villa in Sanremo. The Italian owners are thinking about putting it on the market.

It's a beautiful property and I can already think of a couple of potential buyers. I head to the office to prepare my presentation for the mandate for the villa and before I know it, it's time for lunch again. …
