FROM the thousands of companies who strive to produce, innovate, employ and excel across our region, we are once again getting the spreadsheets out to find the Top 200 in our annual league table, compiled by PwC.

Our updated list of distinction is brought to you by The Journal and The Gazette in association with Learning Curve Group and our category sponsors Newcastle College and Esh Group.

The free supplement will be included within The Gazette on Friday, November 16.

This year, our sponsors have supported categories for: Top Company; Highest New Entry; Top Privately Owned Company; Top 5 Inbound (companies whose workforce is based in the North East but owned by parent groups out of the region or abroad); Highest Percentage Increase in Turnover; Highest Climber; Top Private Equity Backed; and, Top PLC.

The key facts and figures speak for themselves, but each year there are revelations as companies small and large open their books.
