Article excerpt

ROCKHAMPTON Regional Council's popular Morning Melodies season continues in 2019, with a great line-up of entertainment.

Presented by Bolsover Radiology, the long-running concert series aimed at seniors features a variety of shows.

Rockhampton Regional Council Community Services Committee chair councillor Rose Swadling said that Morning Melodies had been a mainstay of the Pilbeam Theatre's entertainment for seniors for 30 years.

"In 2019 we will see a great selection of artists -- some whom are performing in Morning Melodies for the first time and others who are returning with new shows," she said.

"Morning Melodies is a great way for seniors to get together over morning tea, supplied by Brumby's, and to see a reasonably priced live show.

"As our population ages, Morning Melodies keeps up with what the audiences like by providing a range of entertainment to suit all tastes. If you haven't been to a Morning Melodies, then I urge you to give it a try."

Morning Melodies concerts are held six times a year at the Pilbeam Theatre. Concerts start at 11am, with a free morning tea from 10am. Tickets are priced at $20 for adults and $18 for pensioners. Tickets are on sale from the Pilbeam Theatre Box Office, phone 4927 4111 and online at www.seeitlive. com.au.

Morning Melodies is presented by Rockhampton Regional Council and Bolsover Radiology, with morning tea provided by Brumby's Allenstown/Parkhurst/Gracemere.
