Marry Me, See You at 4pm; Same Day Proposal and Wedding

EXPECTING to meet her partner for breakfast on the anniversary of their 10 years together, Rockhampton business owner Amelia Williams had no idea that by the end of the day she would be Mrs Amelia Holgate.

Amelia walked into a holiday apartment in Yeppoon expecting to see her boyfriend but instead found her best friend and her mother waiting for her.

Suspecting that something was going on but not sure what, things started to fall into place for Amelia when a video starting playing -- with her boyfriend Ben as the star.

Ben Holgate, also a business owner from Rockhampton, was sitting at a piano and singing a reworked version of Let ItBe.

Amelia said she was in shock and disbelief for most of the four-minute video.

"I knew instantly that I'd been stitched up, I just didn't know what for," she said.

"As I was watching the video it just unfolded under my eyes.

"I didn't click on straight away when he was at the piano. I started to realise when he and his brother were putting their suits on because they were wearing matching suits.

"When he said 'Marry me', I was like 'right, okay this is a proposal'."

Realising that Ben was not only proposing but also asking her to marry him that day, Amelia was ready to say yes.

"At the end when he said 'See you at the altar at four' I was like 'four? I'm ready to go now'," she said.

Waiting in the wings following the video were a photographer and videographer to capture the moment as well as a make-up artist, hairdresser and a rack of dresses for Amelia to choose her perfect wedding dress.

For Ben, the process wasn't so fast.

He said he thought of the idea about three years ago but it took him 12 months to work out how he would pull it off.

He didn't approach a wedding planner until the start of this year when he had gathered enough information to kick planning into full gear. …
