Following are crimes and other incidents in Mandarin reported

recently to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Burglary:

Four Mandarin men were arrested Tuesday on burglary charges

after police said they burglarized a home in the 4900 block of

Greenland Road June 22 and stole a 1994 BMW and a 1985

Mercedes-Benz.

A neighbor discovered the cars missing from the home, then

noticed the back door open and rooms ransacked. Police later

determined a telephone, fax machine, watch and stereo equipment

were stolen.

The neighbor saw the BMW pull into the driveway briefly, then

drive off. Based on that information, police said they arrested

one man at his home in the 9400 block of Genna Trace Trail at 4

p.m. Tuesday, as well as the three other men.

Aggravated battery:

A 53-year-old Mandarin man was arrested Sunday on charges of

aggravated battery after police said he cut his son with a knife

during an argument in the 8200 block of Philips Highway. Police

said the man came home at 12:45 a.m. and began arguing with the

19-year-old son, then grabbed a knife and cut the younger man in

the neck.

Auto theft:

An unlocked white 1990 Buick Regal stolen Tuesday from an open

garage in the 3500 block of Whalers Way was found abandoned in a

shopping center parking lot in the 10600 block of San Jose

Boulevard. Police said the car was stolen between 12:01 and 2
