Following are crimes and other incidents reported recently in

Mandarin and Northwest St. Johns County to the St. Johns County

and Jacksonville sheriff's offices.

DUVAL COUNTY

Driving under the influence:

A 30-year-old Mandarin woman was arrested June 24 on charges of

driving under the influence, causing property damage and

resisting arrest after police said she hit two vehicles on

Interstate 95 south of Greenland Road.The Florida Highway Patrol

arrested the woman at 7:15 p.m. after they had responded to her

first accident, then found out she had hit a second car. Police

said the woman became combative during questioning and had to be

handcuffed, then was taken to the Duval County jail.

False imprisonment:

A 26-year-old Southside man was arrested June 23 after police

said he tried to pull a 14-year-old girl into his car in the

10300 block of Old St. Augustine Road. Police said the man was

talking to the woman in a restaurant parking lot at 8:20 p.m.

when he grabbed her shirt sleeve as she tried to walk away, then

tried to pull her into his car. Police said they arrested the

man at the scene.

Burglary:

A shaving kit with assorted prescription and over-the-counter

medicines was stolen from an apartment in the 4200 block of

Losco Road.Police said someone got into the apartment between 7

a.m. June 24 and 7 a.m. the next day and stole the kit off the

coffee table.

Auto theft:

A blue trailer was stolen from a parking lot in the 10000 block

of San Jose Boulevard. Police said the trailer was stolen

between 7 p.m. June 24 and 7:30 a.m. the next day.

A blue 1998 Hyundai Elantra was stolen June 23 from a parking

lot in the 10600 block of San Jose Boulevard. Police said the

rental car was taken between 6:30 and 9:15 p.m.

A blue 1988 Ford Mustang was stolen June 23 from an apartment

complex in the 3200 block of Hartley Road. Police said the car

was taken around 11:30 p.m. after the owner said he heard a car

window being smashed and walked outside to see his car being

driven away. …
