Task Bare All is right where he wants to be in tonight's $15,000

Duval Silver Cup mile stake race at the Jacksonville Kennel Club

-- a longshot in what's normally considered one of the worst

post positions, No. 4.

The Ferrell Kennel greyhound barely made the final field,

finishing in a tie for the last spot after three qualifying

races. He had to win a tiebreaker based on fastest times to get

in the running for the $7,500 winner's purse.

Then Wednesday, he drew the No. 4 box. Hardly a promising

outlook for the youngest dog in the race, and he'll probably go

off at 8-1 odds tonight, to the even odds likely for his

kennelmate and race favorite, Mega Goosebumps in No. 8.

But Bare All has already proven that he can overcome long odds.

In last season's Orange Park Derby, the scenario was eerily

exactly the same. Bare All had to win a tiebreaker to squeak

into the final. Then he drew the No. 4 box.

And he won.

If the Ferrell youngster repeats that performance tonight,

it'll be one of the upsets of the year, maybe of the last

several years, considering his shocker in the Derby. …
