Following are crimes and other incidents on the Westside

reported recently to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

ARMED ROBBERY

A man told police he was robbed of his $140 Nike shoes, a gold

rope necklace and his wallet by two men in a silver 1990 Chevy

Lumina when a passenger in the car jumped out and pointed a

silver handgun at him and demanded the items. The man was

walking down Lane Avenue South when he was robbed.

A man who had just purchased gasoline at the Chevron station at

6511 Ramona Boulevard about 9:14 p.m. Sunday was approached by a

man who asked him for a light. As the victim reached in his

pocket, the man put a knife to his throat and demanded his

wallet and his money. After taking the man's wallet, the robber

ran toward the Ramona Park apartments.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT

A woman, 18, was arrested on aggravated assault charges after

she threatened a neighbor, 20, with a gun during an argument

with him in the apartment complex where both live in the 5100

block of Shenandoah Avenue about 10:45 p.m. Sunday. The woman

told police the man had threatened her first, but two witnesses

told police it was the other way around. Police could not locate

the gun.

Police said they will seek an arrest warrant charging a man,

47, with aggravated assault and petty theft after he stole a

pack of cigarettes from a convenience store and tried to run

over the store clerk with his car.

The incident happened about 11:45 a.m. Sunday at the Lil' Champ

at 4429 Blanding Boulevard. The clerk, 37, told police she ran

out of the store after the man to get the tag number of his car.

She jumped on his gray Oldsmobile but fell to the ground. That's

when the man tried to run over her with the car, she said. The

man dropped his Florida identification card in the parking lot. …
