Benefit Tomorrow Aids Beach Family

On the morning of Oct. 26, 11-year-old Brandon Williams woke to

find his mother, Terri Williams, unconscious on the floor of

their Jacksonville Beach home. After he called 911, his mother

was taken to the hospital, where an aneurysm behind her right

eye was discovered.

Terri Williams had to undergo brain surgery. Though the surgery

was primarily a success, Williams is unable to see due to

complications and her recovery will be slow. Because the surgery

came six weeks after the birth of her daughter, Allison Kay, the

family has been hit hard by medical bills, which already exceed

$50,000.

To help with the expenses, Dave Wampler of The RiteSpot

Restaurant has helped organize a benefit for Williams at The

Ritz Bar, 139 Third Ave. N., Jacksonville Beach, at 7 p.m.

tomorrow.

"The fact is they have three babies and they're a two-income

family," Wampler said. "So we thought we would put this benefit

together to help her out. …
