Following are crimes and other incidents reported recently in

Mandarin to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

BURGLARY:

A television, compact disc player and jewelry valued together

at $2,650 was stolen Thursday from a home in the 3200 block of

Ricky Drive. Police said someone pried open a rear sliding glass

door between 6 a.m. and 4:40 p.m. to commit the burglary.

Two stereo systems, jewelry, 50 compact discs and a fax machine

valued together at $2,100 were stolen Thursday from an apartment

in the 9400 block of San Jose Boulevard. Police said someone

forced open the front door between 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. and

stole the items.

Diamond and gold jewelry, watches, electronic equipment, coins,

cologne and a safe valued together at $3,964 were stolen

Thursday from two apartments in the St. Augustine at the Lake

complex, 11001 Old St. Augustine Road. In both cases, police

said, someone kicked in the front doors of the apartments, the

first between 7:30 a.m. and 6:15 p.m., the other sometime after

8:10 a.m. The apartments were across the hall from each other.

Two video games valued together at $600 were stolen Thursday

from the Game Force store in the 9900 block of San Jose

Boulevard. Police said someone broke out the front window around

4 a.m., then broke a display case and stole the games.

A dishwasher, chandelier and mailbox valued together at $415

were stolen from a home under construction in the 5600 block of

Ribbon Rose Way. Police said someone broke into the home between

3 p.m. Oct. 11 and 8 a.m. Oct. 13 and stole the items.

FORGERY

An Orlando man whom police said they initially pulled over

Thursday for speeding at Interstate 95 and Philips Highway also

faces charges of forgery after police found a false driver's

license and blank birth certificates on him. The man was stopped

at 2:38 a.m. for doing 71 mph in a 55 mph zone. Police said they

found a suspended Pennsylvania license, a valid Virginia license

with a false Social Security number, two Social Security cards

and two blank Massachusetts and two blank Virginia birth

certificates. …
