Call it cyber-soccer.

The Jacksonville Youth Soccer Club has turned to the World Wide

Web to help inform members and prospective members about its

organization. The JYSC's Web site -- crci.net/jysc -- was

designed by Susan Miller at CRCI Web Design and launched about a

month ago.

"We set this up as an aid to help new people coming into the

city," said Rose Morency, head of operations for the JYSC and

the person who helped come up with the idea to have a Web site.

"I found that people coming into the community or just now

getting involved in soccer have very specific questions. It was

designed to aid and help new members and our existing members as

well."

Morency said CRCI Web Design owner Ciro Camacho, who has two

daughters playing on JYSC teams, does not charge the group for

the Web site, which had registered 60 hits through Thursday.

Morency provided Miller with all the information that would be

posted on the page, which included a quarterly newsletter,

schedules, directions to the group's fields on San Jose

Boulevard and St. …
