There's No Place like First Place for Keystone Girls

KEYSTONE HEIGHTS -- No one knows any better than the Keystone

Heights High School girls basketball team that there's no such

thing as second place when it comes to state titles.

The girls found that out last year. After winning back-to-back

state titles in 1994 and 1995, the team was unable to defend the

lead.

Junior forward Monique Cardenas again was the team's scoring

an injury.

"For me it's really good since not being able to play last

year. …
