Doctor Charged in Sex Case Teenage Girls Were Given Painkiller Pills, Police Say

A Jacksonville gynecologist was arrested yesterday after police

said teenage girls were coerced into having oral sex with him in

exchange for prescription painkillers.

Robert Charles Brown Jr., 54, of the 1600 block of Tayo Lane

was charged with three counts of sexual activity with a minor,

four counts of possession of a controlled substance and one

count of trafficking in hydrocodone.

Brown's licenses to dispense drugs and practice medicine were

suspended for malpractice in 1993, said narcotics Sgt. Rick

Graham.

While being led to jail last night, Brown denied breaking the

law.

"I haven't done anything wrong," he said.

Police also arrested a woman who was charged with procuring for

prostitution after authorities said she arranged for at least

seven girls to go to the doctor's office and perform sex acts on

him in exchange for pills.

Sonnie Lynn Little, 25, of the 600 block of Lawton Avenue was

charged with one count each of procuring a minor for prostitution

and forcing or compelling a minor to become a prostitute. …
