It was just one play early in the third quarter, but Andre Rison

should be able to milk it for a long time.

Sprinting up the sideline only to get pushed out of bounds, the

Jacksonville Jaguars' newest wide receiver jumped back into the

end zone, stretching out his arms for a 24-yard touchdown catch

from Mark Brunell.

In that one instance, Rison may have shown the Jaguars exactly

what they expected when they signed the two-time Pro Bowler as a

free agent.

"He showed the ability to stretch out for the ball and the ball

stuck in his hands," said coach Tom Coughlin. "It was really

good to see the adjustment and the extension . . . it amounted

to a really fine play."

The catch, coming with less than a minute gone in the second

half, cut the New York Giants' lead to 14-10.

"He's quite a receiver -- he's a big-play guy," said Brunell of

his newest target. "That was just a small glimpse of the things

he can do. …
