Dear Call Box: My husband gave me jewelry for my birthday and it

didn't fit. The merchant would not give me a refund. He's making

me exchange it. That's unfair. -- M.G.

Dear M.G.: The merchant has the right to offer an exchange.

There should have been a notice at the point of sale explaining

the refund/exchange policy. If there was no notice, your husband

had the right to request a copy of the policy.
