Moving on to Ole Miss Gators Want to Prove Win over Kentucky Was No Fluke

GAINESVILLE -- As rare as the moment must have been in the post-game locker room, Billy Donovan quickly set things straight when the door closed and his mouth opened.

Forget about Kentucky. Focus on Mississippi.

"He said, `This game doesn't mean anything unless we beat Mississippi,' " Florida forward Greg Stolt said of the Gators' 75-68 victory over fifth-ranked Kentucky Thursday. "We have to back it up."

If there's one thing Donovan continues to drill into his young team at Florida, it's being mentally ready every time you step on the court. Physically, the Gators can match up with a majority of the teams in the country.

The ability to be ready mentally every game, though, has yet to be proven. What better time to show it than the last month of the Southeastern Conference season, with a spot in the NCAA Tournament on the line?

"Always, after an emotional victory, teams tend to come off the next game feeling kind of arrogant and a little cocky, and tend to have a letdown," said UF guard Eddie Shannon. …
