THE DALES SCHOOL have unveiled their new site in Ashington, Northumberland. Previously, The Dales School was based on only one site, in Blyth but now we have more children than ever and require more space. We have renamed the sites: Ashdale and Blythdale, the Dales Family!

There was nothing nice about the Ashdale building at the start of this project. It was an old and run-down building, which with some imagination had potential to be something special. The council had been very supportive about the new school plans we had in place. As time went on, the Ashdale site was developing and growing; it was turning into an excellent building. Amongst the visitors were two architects that helped with the development of the Ashdale site. We had a walk through the school and we asked them what they thought: "Amazing!" one of the architects said: "The outdoor spaces designed for each classroom are perfect for the children."
