Following are crimes and other incidents reported recently on

the Westside to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Armed robbery:

A man putting air in a tire on his truck at a service station

in the 5400 block of Timuquana Road was robbed at gunpoint at

10:25 p.m. Sunday, he reported to police. The man said he was at

the Timuquana Shell station when the robber appeared from behind

a building. The robber did not point the gun at the man, but

held it in plain view as he demanded his victim's wallet. The

robber then fled behind the building.

Aggravated domestic assault:

A woman, 47, who attacked her husband with a pair of scissors

while she was cutting up all his clothes was arrested on a

charge of aggravated domestic assault at 4 p.m. Sunday at her

home in the 8200 block of Lucaya Court.

Her husband, 50, told police his wife got mad when he asked for

a divorce. She began cutting up all his clothing with the

scissors. When he tried to stop her, she struck at him with the

scissors. He said he backed away and then she lunged at him,

trying to stab him in the chest. He pushed her away and she fell

against a wall, cutting her hand on a nail that was protruding

from the wall. The wife told police that at one point her

husband went downstairs to get his gun from his car to shoot

her. However, she was washing her cut hand when he returned and

she did not see the gun.

Battery/domestic violence:

Police arrested a man, 29, on a charge of battery/domestic

violence after he choked and punched his cousin, also 29. The

two men are neighbors in the 8000 block of Noroad, but the

incident happened at a friend's house in the 8400 block of

McGlothin Street about 1 a.m. Sunday. Police said the suspect

was very drunk.
