ROCKHAMPTON'S jockey of the moment Ashley Butler has been booked for some choice mounts over the two days of Tattersalls Racing at Callaghan Park on Friday and Sunday.

Both feature meetings come under the banner of the Rockhampton Jockey Club which has graciously honoured the tradition of the defunct Tattersalls Race Club by keeping the name of their former feature races to the forefront.

Butler provided a timely reminder of his skills when he brought home three winners at the first day of the Rockhampton Winter Carnival's Racing at Callaghan Park last Saturday.

The reality is that Kievann has won in five states through victories in South Australia; Victoria; New South Wales; Queensland and the Northern Territory.

These include metropolitan wins in strong city company in Adelaide; Melbourne and Darwin His lone NSW success came in strong class at Ballina while in Queensland, Kievann has won at the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast.

In a low key mission last July, Kievann travelled north from his Brisbane base to finish second behind Grey Missile in the time honoured $100,000 Cleveland Bay Handicap at Townsville.

A proven weight carrier, trainer Herne has the old boy nice and fresh and ready for a strong first-up display in Friday's Tatts Sprint. …
