MIDDLESBROUGH travel to Barnard Castle in the Darlington Building Society NYSD ECB Premier League and skipper Leigh Beaumont said: "Jack Newby our South African professional damaged his knee last Friday and missed Saturday's game, it's not looking good for the season for him."

However, it was another positive performance, and the batsmen all contributed in a hard fought draw. Adil Ditta added his experience to the team and keeps his place for Newby. The in-form bowler Harry Williams, returns for Ahsan Shrindal.

Barney skipper James Quinn said: "We are really determined to change our recent league form around.

Middlesbrough will be tough opponents, but we've got to back our abilities to produce two positive results this weekend."

"We have a number of changes this week, Owen Peddelty is out with a broken collar bone, Finn Usher is away in South Africa on a rugby tour and Tom Merryweather is unavailable.

"Pat Roberts returns, and we are very hopeful that James Wainman is back from Warwickshire and opening bowler Josh Bousfield is fit to play."

Marske are at full strength, with overseas amateur Michael Brokensha returning to the team, as they welcome Richmondshire to Windy Hill Lane.

Skipper Johnathon Pickard said: "We continued our good form with 25 points at Darlington last week, and are really looking forward to the prospect of playing Richmondshire, who are one point ahead of us in second place. It will be another tough test for us and a good measure of where we are as a side."

The Dalesmen's vice-captain Robert Carr said: "This is a big game away to Marske this weekend, following some good results for us around the league last week.

"They've been on a great run of form, so we are expecting a good game. As for team news, Mike Layfield is back in this weekend, so Matty Price drops out."

Thornaby are at league leaders Marton and will be unchanged. …
