LEWIS Wing has been told to shoot on sight this season - and that could put him on target for a double-digit goal haul.

The livewire midfield man struck the sweet spot and sent a sizzling third goal into the top corner from 20 yards at Luton.

That followed on from a thunderstruck low dead-ball in the Riverside friendly against St Etienne.

Boro's catalytic converter is on fire. And he has been given licence to unleash. That could make him a serious goal threat.

"I've been told when I pick up the ball and get into good positions in and around the box, if I think it's on to just let it go, just have a shot," he gushed after the game. "The gaffer has told me to shoot whenever I get a chance."

Albert Adomah was top scorer with 12 but Muzzy Carayol chipped in with a respectable eight and Leadbitter and Emmanuel Ledesma got six each. …
