Games played tomorrow at Rockville Oval

AUSSIE RULES: Senior women's grand finals and Lauren Jericho go hand-in-hand.

The Tigers stalwart has been involved in the last five deciders, starting with a loss for South Toowoomba in 2014, before claiming the last four with Toowoomba.

Tomorrow she has the chance to make it a perfect five with the Tigers when they take on minor premiers University at Rockville Oval.

Jericho started as a Toowoomba junior, before making the move to the Bombers, but she said it was always destiny for her to return home.

"I played the year before for the Toowoomba U14s, then went over to South Toowoomba because they had a women's side and Toowoomba didn't," Jericho said.

"The plan was originally to start up a Toowoomba team to increase the competition, and we were lucky enough to field a side in 2015.

"I roped dad (Neville) into coaching. We've been a bit lucky along the way, but we've been well-coached and have had a great culture to be able to keep the dream alive.

"It makes the premierships more special. We've been able to have success from the hard work of everyone involved.

"The whole playing group has been great, and to recruit more girls to keep playing over the five seasons, it's made for a good run."

Throughout the Tigers four-peat, they have enjoyed a dominance over clubs that has been unrivalled in the Downs region.

This year however, University has laid the challenge down as a genuine contender to end Toowoomba's golden run.

The Cougars were able to claim the minor premiership, breaking the streak of the Tigers that had been in place for the past three seasons. …
