Gympie Regional Cricket results

HARLEQUINS have continued their perfect run, defeating Colts by seven runs via the Duckworth Lewis system on Saturday.

Colts went in to bat with opener Chris Hughes making 28, Harlequins bowler Andy Batten finished with 2/18 and Nathaniel Bailey 2/44.

After 40 overs, Colts were 6/151.

Harlequins openers Aaron Muir and Owen Dugdale were both out for a duck but first drop Andy Batten made 50 to lead the charge.

After four overs there was a rain delay which lost 10 overs; after 26 overs the last four overs were dropped because of bad light.

Harlequins needed 113 to win and finished with 120.

Murgon was too strong for Valleys, winning with 8 wickets in hand.

Valleys were sent in to bat. Opener Wayde Wust looked good before he was out LBW for 30. Anthony Reid made 57 and finished 9/150 after 40 overs.

Bryce Edwards took two wickets for 22 runs and Harrison Sippel finished with 2/25.

Murgon's opening batsman and wicketkeeper Damien Sippel was 67 not out and Graham Brown 36.

Murgon chased the total after 29 overs.

Kenilworth was too strong for Wests, winning with three wickets in hand by the Duckworth Lewis system.

Wests were sent in to bat and were bowled out for 115, Grant Weller made 20 and Callum Morrison 16.

Kenilworth's Tim Kross got 3/19 and Tyron Blinco 3/18.

A rain delay meant 10 overs were lost, and Kenilworth was chasing 100 to win.

Steve Ledger started the chase for Kenilworth, getting 33 and Shane Scott27.

Wests bowler Callum Weller took 2/20 but Kenilworth chased down the total after 18.5 overs.

This Saturday, Harlequins take on Kenilworth at Kozminsky Oval at the One Mile, and Wests take on Murgon at Murgon Sports Ground.

There will be a game on Sunday between Valleys and Colts at Kozminsky Oval because of the Gold playing at home.
