Following is a list of arrests and crimes reported by area police departments.

JACKSONVILLE BEACH

-- Police officers are searching for the man who robbed Prosperity Bank at 100 Third St. N. on Wednesday. The bank robbery is the first in Jacksonville Beach in at least a year, said Sgt. Bobbi Schlatterer, spokeswoman for the Jacksonville Beach Police Department.

The robber did not display a weapon, but handed the bank clerk a note demanding money, Schlatterer said. He fled with $1,300.

Witnesses described the robber as a white man in his late 20s or early 30s who is about 6-feet-1, has a heavy build and shoulder-length brown hair. He has a thin mustache and a goatee and wore a light green jacket and khaki trousers.

-- Officers arrested a 13-year-old boy at Fletcher Middle School at 2000 Third St. N. Tuesday and charged him with possession of a weapon on school grounds.

School officials found a knife on the eighth-grader while conducting a random weapons check at the school. …
