Bush Envisions Cabinet of Father's Top Advisers

WASHINGTON -- GOP presidential hopeful George W. Bush says he would pack his foreign policy team with heavyweights who saw the nation-- and his father-- through the Cold War, such as George Shultz, Henry Kissinger and Colin Powell.

"These are all people that stood by my side when I talked about nuclear security" last spring, Bush said during an interview for CNN's Larry King Live. "Some of whom, you know, may be a part of the administration, but all of them are my supporters and friends."

Also on Bush's list is his campaign's foreign policy chief, Condoleeza Rice, a Russian and Eastern European affairs specialist at National Security Council during Bush's father's administration.

Powell,chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff during the Persian Gulf War, was reported to have said recently that he would consider serving in the Texas governor's cabinet. Bush said that "made me feel great."
