Mufeed Bateh, 64, of Jacksonville was killed when his vehicle crashed Wednesday in Duval County. Because of a reporter's error, Bateh was misidentified in a story on Page B-3 yesterday. Because of incorrect information from the Florida Highway Patrol, his age was also incorrect in the story.

Nearly four years after a Jacksonville man was shot to death and two years after his girlfriend was charged in the slaying, police arrested two more people on charges of disposing of the gun.

Donna M. Frazier, 46, of the 1300 block of North Broad Street and Jeffrey L. Jackson, 47, of the 4400 block of Jammes Road were charged Tuesday with accessory after the fact.

The arrests were made after the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office cold case homicide team received new information about where the gun was disposed of, said Lt. Mark Foxworth, the detectives' supervisor. Police wouldn't reveal the location.

Vanita Dionne Frazier, a relative of Donna Frazier, was charged July 1, 1998, in the death of her boyfriend, Dennis Herndon Jr., 27, exactly two years after the man was shot while sleeping in his bed. His decomposed body was later found in the woods off Leon Haddock Road in Nassau County.

Police also arrested Vanita Frazier's mother, Margie Frazier, and brother, Kenneth Frazier, on charges of helping dispose of the body.

Herndon's family became suspicious when he didn't show up for a Fourth of July picnic in 1996. Family members spent the next two years posting fliers, holding fund-raisers and searching for clues.

Vanita Frazier's trial is expected to begin next month.
