Local Radio Stations Offer Small Amount of Jazz Programming

Dear Call Box: Is there any jazz music being played on Jacksonville radio stations? -- D.B.

Dear D.B. To our knowledge, there is no longer a radio station devoted entirely to modern jazz in Jacksonville. However, you can find some jazz programs with a little dial switching. Here is a list, and we invite readers call us if there are others.

-- WJCT (89.9 FM): Norm Vincent runs the Swingtime program from 10 a.m. to noon Saturdays. Also, you can hear jazz programs Saturday evenings from 8 to 11.

-- WJAX (1220 AM): Swing music.

-- WSOL (101.5 FM): Plays jazz from 9 a.m. to noon Sundays.
