Following is a list of arrests and crimes reported by area police departments.

ATLANTIC BEACH

Officers arrested a man Thursday and charged him with driving under the influence, driving on the wrong side of Atlantic Boulevard and faulty brakes.

The man also was charged with felony cocaine possession after officers found a bag in his shoe containing 12.4 grams of cocaine worth about $1,200.

The general manager of Advanced Landscape Management at 205 Edgar St. reported Thursday that someone vandalized two company vehicles.

Someone stole the side mirrors and tag from a 1997 Ford truck and punctured four tires on a 1995 Ford van. Damage came to about $500.

A woman reported Thursday that someone stole her 1993 Dodge van from her home in the 400 block of Whiting Lane.

The woman told officers she left $250 in cash under the driver's side floor mat. Police found the van on Dudley Street but the money was missing.

JACKSONVILLE BEACH

Officers arrested a Jacksonville man in the Nov. 23 shooting in a yard at Fourth Avenue and Seventh Street South. Christopher Blair, 24, is charged with aggravated battery and discharging a firearm in public.

The victim, Phillip Edwards, 19, was treated and released from Shands Jacksonville hospital after he was shot in the upper right leg. Edwards and three friends told police a man in the back of a white Dodge truck began firing at a house where they were staying.

Fire marshals are investigating a fire set March 24 at a wooded lot in the 1200 block of 16th Avenue South. A witness told officers that he had seen several boys burning candles at night in a wooden fort on the wooded lot.

A man's leg was broken Thursday in an attack by three men as he and his girlfriend walked to their car in the 100 block of Second Avenue South.

The 22-year-old man told officers that three unknown men knocked him to the ground, repeatedly kicked and punched him, then ran to a nearby car and drove away. …
